Privacy Policy

TripKhata ("the App") is developed by Attar Developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google or create an account with email/password.
• Trip and invoice data: Trip details (pickup, drop, fare, distance, date/time), invoice details (passenger name, amount, payment mode), and any digital signatures you create within the App.
• Profile information: Driver name, phone number, cab details, company name/address/GST number, and UPI ID that you choose to enter.
• Images: Company logo and UPI QR code images you choose to upload from your device gallery.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide core App features: trip tracking, invoice generation, and PDF creation.
• To back up your data to your own Google Drive account (a hidden, app-specific storage area only this App can access), so you can restore it on a new device.
• To authenticate you and maintain your account.

Data Storage

Your account information is stored securely using Google Firebase. Trip and invoice data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable backup, in your personal Google Drive account's app-specific storage. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Google Drive Access

If you enable Backup & Restore, the App requests limited access to a hidden, app-specific folder in your Google Drive (not your general Drive files) to store a single backup file. This access is used solely for backup and restore of your own TripKhata data.

Notifications (Daily Tips)

If you allow notifications, the App shows two short tips a day about using TripKhata. These are delivered with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). To receive them, your device joins a general topic based only on the App language and your time-zone offset (for example, English, UTC+5:30). FCM uses a device identifier (the Firebase installation / messaging token) to deliver messages; it is not linked to your trips, invoices or profile, and we do not store it. You can turn tips off at any time in your phone's notification settings (Settings > Apps > TripKhata > Notifications).

Sharing

When you share an invoice, earnings report or QR code, the App adds one short line with the TripKhata Play Store link to the message text. Shared files go only to the app or person you choose.

Sending Invoices by Email

If you add a passenger's email address to an invoice and tap "Send to passenger", the App sends the invoice PDF, the passenger's email address and a short message to our secure server (Google Firebase Cloud Functions, India region), which emails it to the passenger from the TripKhata mailbox, with your own email address as the reply-to address. The invoice and email address are used only to deliver that email and are not stored on our server (only a daily send counter per account is kept to prevent abuse). Passenger mobile numbers and email addresses you enter are otherwise stored only on your device and in your own Google Drive backup.

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account > Delete Account within the App. This removes your account record and login access. You may also request deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

TripKhata is intended for use by adult drivers and business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
